The idea started as the brand label for inspirational quotes from Mark Cuban’s website. However, it grew to become an aspirational business brand developed for the driven entrepreneur.
While Three Commas came from the fact that there are three commas in a billion, the money is not what we are about. We are about the entrepreneur - from the place where the dream began, to where the dream becomes a reality. Three Commas is about the journey and seeks to encourage people to achieve their goals, pursuing the American Dream. There is no other place that gives everyone this great opportunity to succeed. It's not about having a billion dollars, but the daily reward of hard work, passion, and dedication that brings the true meaning of success.
In early 2015, Mark Cuban, Nelly, and Mike Chaffin co-launched the THREE COMMAS apparel line, a concept derived by Mark Cuban based on the fact that there are 3 commas in a billion dollars. The line is the first developed for the aspiring entrepreneur. Learn more about the people behind the brand.
Mark Cuban is an American billionaire entrepreneur, television personality, and media proprietor. He is the owner of the Dallas Mavericks professional basketball team and the co-owner of 2929 Entertainment. He is also one of the main "shark" investors on the ABC reality television series Shark Tank. Since the age of 12, Mark has been a natural businessman. Selling garbage bags door to door, the seed was planted early on for what would eventually become long-term success.
Cuban became a billionaire back in 1998. That’s when he and Todd Wagner took their online audio streaming company, Broadcast.com, public. He remembers the exact moment he became a billionaire.
“And so I am sitting there naked one morning. Naked. Bam, bam, bam, refresh, refresh,” says Cuban. He was repeatedly hitting “return” on the keyboard to update the website where he was watching the stock.
″The price gets up there — and then I did my little naked billionaire dance. I was so much more handsome that next day. No lie,” jokes Cuban.
