We at Three Commas have been busy! I had an awesome time last week on Monday and Tuesday in San Francisco at Draper University with Biz World (www.draperuniversity.com and www.bizworld.org). I had the opportunity to watch Tim Draper teach a class…he has endless energy! It was amazing watching the groups that arrived at Draper from all over the world come together in teams to pitch to Tim for seed capital, as well as to build and sell their products. I was introduced to several of the Draper University board members and toured their incubator across the street…which has a hollowed out Tesla for a reception desk. The environment they have created for learning and creating is one of the best I have seen.
On Wednesday I returned Dallas to speak at the Epic Mavs Series at UTA in their Startup Lounge. Great attendance and interaction with a lot of entrepreneurs. If you haven’t seen UTA’s makerspace, it is worth the trip. The next day I was invited to join SMU’s entrepreneur club at their happy hour in Dallas. Love the Three Commas shirts they are sporting with their club’s logo! Next week I have the privilege of being a judge at the semi-finals of Baylor’s New Venture Competition – an entrepreneurship competition open to all schools.
